Lock the desktop is a lightweight application that runs in your system tray and allows you to lock your computer easily.
First, you have to set the desired hot key. When pressing it, your desktop locks instantly, saving you time.

How to use AutomaticLock

Removing hotkey

1. Go to Menu > Customize > Add Menu Items > Select the Hotkey that you want to remove from the list of hotkeys.

2. If you want to remove multiple hotkeys, select all the hotkeys by clicking the checkbox beside them.

3. After you select your hotkeys, press OK.

4. The hotkeys that you have selected are removed from the list.

Setting the hotkey

1. Go to Menu > Customize > Add Menu Items > Select the Hotkey that you want to use for locking your desktop.

2. If you want to use a hotkey other than Ctrl+Alt+L, please select the hotkey you want to use, and press OK.

Note: If you don’t specify the hotkey, the program will use Ctrl+Alt+L as default.

3. Press OK to set the hotkey.

4. The hotkey is added to the list.

All hotkeys that are in the list can be used to lock your desktop. But if you want to lock your desktop with a hotkey other than the default hotkey, please change it in the customize page.

Locking your desktop

1. Press the hotkey that you want to use to lock your desktop.

2. You will see that your desktop is locked.

3. If you want to lock your desktop immediately after the last user logged out, please select the checkbox.

4. If you want to remove the checkbox, press OK to cancel.

5. If you want to remove the checkbox for the next time, please press the OK button again.

You can create hotkeys for other desktop settings, like desktop icons, files and printers.
