It’s been a year since I first published my article about using GitHub in the workplace. I got a lot of feedback and it was interesting to see how things have changed. In this year I thought about the most important updates and lessons I learned on the way.
I’m glad to see that everyone is still using GitHub and I’m glad that many people are still using GitHub Enterprise.

We’ve talked a lot about how Github is good for coding collaboration and the project management. It’s a great tool for collaboration. It’s a great tool for managing and keeping track of issues. It’s a great tool to help developers working on an open source project.
Yet there are a lot of great features in GitHub that go unused. Many people still don’t use it to do things like version control their test suites, use github for a project portfolio, organize their code, etc.
They don’t use GitHub for source control, Git itself is a lot of work to use.
But that’s not even the most important reason people don’t use GitHub.
Git is a lot of work to use, and you need to know a lot to use it properly. You need to know how to:
set up branches
use merge commits
create pull requests
test your commits
work with code you’ve contributed

4. If you have multiple keystroke configurations, locate the “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop” key.
5. Right-click the Desktop key, point to New, and click DWORD Value.
6. Enter MouseToolDisable as the name of the new value.
7. Double-click the new key.
