“Save as” doesn’t appear in the “File” menu

I have added “Save as” to my context menu using this tutorial.
However, I see the “Save as” option only in the “Open” menu. If I select it and try to save, I can’t choose any other formats such as PDF, JPG or PNG.
Now I have to go through the usual exercise of clicking the Save button first, then going to File -> Save…
Is this a common problem? Is there any workaround?

Add the following code to your startup file or similar.

As Matthew said in the tutorial, the Save File dialog is now in the context menu.
I just tried it and it works exactly as it should:
Save File -> Button at the bottom -> Choose:

You can also drag the Save File item from the Open menu to the View menu, which will remove it from the context menu.

I too faced this problem. I solved this by using a lot of trial and error.
Here is the steps I followed:

Goto File Menu
Add a “Save As” item
Add a “New File” item (This item is used if we want to open a blank file)
Add a “Save” item (when double clicked a “Save” dialog box should open).

You can even remove the “New File” item, and add a “Save” item.
